Education in Indigenous communities is a goal that needs to be improved on for the future. This is just another basic right, like clean water, that the government has failed to help with. The number of reserve schools in Canada lacking access to reliable running water, computers, libraries and experienced teachers is 500+. Yet, they do not need a better system built by the government. Instead, they need the resources necessary to help build a successful education system. We see other schools are giving much more funding. Funding pay gap between on and off-reserve schools per student is $2000-$3000. We as Canadians need to help support them better by raising awareness around this issue as well as helping to solve it. We also need to pressure the federal government to give more funding to the schools, as when 60% of people on reserves right now do not graduate high school, something needs to be done.

It is an Indigenous national charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.
